Presbyterian Church of DuPage Our Fellowship and Study Groups |

Presbyterian Women All women of the church are automatically members of the Presbyterian Women. Activities include Baptism blankets to the first child born to persons after becoming members of the church, Bibles to all the children baptized in the church, support of Church World Mission, CROP and several mission agencies. |

PW Circles |
The Presbyterian Women sponsor monthly "circles" for the women of the church. These groups meet once a month for study, prayer and fellowship. The Faith/Love circle meets the second Tuesday in the evening at 7:00 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. The Peace circle meets the third Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. till 2:30 p.m. These groups recess for the summer. This year's study theme will be "Above and Beyond - Hearing God's Calling in Jonah and Ruth." |

Men's Fellowship |
Men's fellowship is open to all post high school men of the church and meets on alternate Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. The group has a "meetin' 'round the ol' potbelly stove" or "barbershop socializin'" flavor as well as engaging in Bible or topical studies, prayer and mission related events. |

Upper Room Fellowship |
Upper Room Fellowship is an ongoing women's support and study group. It meets alternate Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m to 11:00 a.m. twice a month. They are currently studying "What the Bible Says About Angels" by Dr. David Jeremiah. |

Youth Group |
The church Youth Group meets regularly on Wednesday evenings during the school year at 7:15 p.m. until 8:45. It is currently open to the 7th through 12th grade age group. There are many fun activities and also faith developing topical studies and prayer support. |

Christian Education Department (CED)
The Christian
Education Department sponsors the "Sunday School" of the
church which meets at 10:40 a.m. from the Sunday after Labor Day to
the Sunday before Memorial Day. Small Group Educational Opportunities
(SGEO) are provided for all age groups from age 2 and on. We are
currently using the Group
Publication's "Faithweaver" series as our main
curriculum due to its excellent basic Christian content and the way
it integrates the same topic through all age ranges with age
appropriate emphasis for each particular level. Adult classes meet at
9:00 a.m. and are using Ray Vander Laan's series |

Unemloyment Support Group This group is not about finding a job. It is about helping the famlies for whom unemployment is creating distress and difficuitly in family and personal relationships. It is about providing positive support and guidance for coping with stressful times: for the unemployed provider, spouse, children and other family members. The group was founded and is guided by the spouse of a long term unemployed provider (several years), who also has earned a Masters degree in counceling. |

Boy Scout Troop 75 Boy Scout Troop 75 is now sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of DuPage and meets weekly in the church on Mondays from 7:00 pm to 8:30 p.m. Boy Scouting is a year-round program for boys around ages 11 - 17. Through the Boy Scout program, young men can achieve the core objectives of strengthening character, personal fitness and good citizenship. They also enjoy many fun activities, experience the outdoors on camping and hiking trips and gain friendships that can last a lifetime. New members are always welcome. |

Girl Scout Troops A Daisy Troop meets on alternate Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. in our church. It is for young girls in grades K-1. Girl Scout Daisies are guided by leaderscommunity volunteers who are parents or other adults trained by the local Girl Scout council. Leaders work with girls to determine interests and decide on activities within the framework of the Girl Scout program. Parents are asked to support the leader by helping where needed, such as with transportation, group snacks, or family outings. A Browny Troop meets on the other alternate Wednesdays, also at 4:30 p.m. in our chruch. It is for young girls in the 2nd - 3rd grades. Girl Scout Brownies are guided by leaders who are taught by certified trainers. Leaders partner with girls, giving them opportunities to make decisions about their activities and to learn leadership skills within the group. |
