We understand visiting any church for the first time can be intimidating. So we have put together some information that we hope will answer your questions and reduce any anxiety that you may have. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome.
When are your services?
During the summer, we have one worship service at 9:30 am. Don't worry, we won’t single you out in worship or make you say anything. You can feel safe here!
What should I wear?
We are a diverse group and you will blend in whether you prefer a suit and tie, dress, or jeans and t-shirts. Please wear whatever you feel is most comfortable.
When you arrive…
When you come through our doors, you will be greeted by one of our friendly Sunday greeters waiting to welcome and direct you. If you have questions, need childcare, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to ask them. They are here to serve you.
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We don’t invite you to our church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place truth from God’s Word and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
What about the children?
Children are very welcome and are encouraged to participate in our worship services and Sunday school. We also have a nursery available for infants and toddlers up to 5 years old between the hours of 8:45 am – 11:30 am. Pagers are available for parents in the event their child may need assistance. We also have a cry room where you can sit with your child and still hear the service.
If you have any other questions, just give us a call at (630) 759-8843, or ask someone when you arrive.
Whether you are new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it has been a long time since you’ve attended church or never attended before, we hope your first visit at First Presbyterian Church of DuPage will be awesome! Let us know how we can serve you better, and we hope to meet you this Sunday!
